Today, most manufacturing plants and warehouses are run by an elite group of experienced operators acting as the real-time control tower for the operation. They make hundreds of high-stakes decisions every shift like how to respond to downtime, sequence work orders, and schedule overtime while balancing service levels and cost.
These decisions determine hundreds of billions in revenue and margin, yet most are still coordinated manually using spreadsheets, whiteboards, and human judgment.
Jetson is building a system that understands the state of the operation, reasons through tradeoffs, and adapts to changing conditions the way an experienced operator would, helping teams run efficiently, get ahead of issues before they compound, and build a repeatable playbook for high-performing shifts without adding headcount or labor hours.

The Opportunity
This is a hands-on technical leadership position for someone who wants to build a category-defining company at the intersection of AI, operations, and the physical world.
You will partner directly with the CEO to transform real-world operational problems that impact how products get made or moved into AI-native workflow that customers use every day to run their business.
You will help define:
- How AI should operate in industrial environments
- What problems are truly LLM problems
- How agents make and execute decisions
- How a modern engineering organization scales from early traction through Series A and beyond
You'll lead a small team today, write production code regularly, stay close to customers, and have enormous influence over product and technical direction.
What You’ll Own
Product & Technical Leadership
- Partner directly with the CEO on product strategy and roadmap execution
- Translate ambiguous customer problems into simple, scalable workflows
- Define the technical architecture for Jetson's AI platform
- Make key decisions across systems design, integrations, data architecture, and AI infrastructure
- Establish engineering standards, processes, and operating rhythms
Develop the AI Core of our platform
- Design systems that understand operational context and support decision making
- Create feedback loops that capture operator decisions and improve system performance over time
- Build AI-native workflows that move beyond reporting into action and execution
- Develop systems that operate reliably in high-stakes production environments
Engineering Leadership
- Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team
- Improve velocity, quality, and execution
- Recruit exceptional engineers
- Raise the technical bar through direct contribution and mentorship
Customers
- Spend time with customers
- Understand how factories and warehouses actually operate
- Participate in discovery, implementation, and product feedback loops
- Ensure what gets built creates measurable operational value
Who You Are
- Builder first, manager second
- You still write production code
- You've built products from 0→1 in fast-moving startup environments
- You have experience building AI-powered systems

- 💰 Base Salary: $250K – $300K
