Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all engineering and maintenance operations across manufacturing facilities.
- Develop and implement engineering strategies to maximize plant reliability, equipment uptime, and operational efficiency.
- Manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for production equipment and utilities.
- Oversee mechanical utilities including HVAC, Boilers, Chillers, Compressed Air Systems, Water Treatment Systems, Steam Generation, and Fire Protection Systems.
- Plan, execute, and monitor CAPEX projects, facility upgrades, equipment installation, commissioning, and qualification activities.
- Ensure compliance with cGMP, EHS, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, energy efficiency, and cost optimization.
- Manage engineering budgets, contractors, consultants, and equipment vendors.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA), corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and reliability improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Supply Chain, and Regulatory teams to support uninterrupted production.
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's degree will be an added advantage).
- 10+ years of engineering experience within the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior engineering leadership role.
- Strong expertise in mechanical utilities, HVAC systems, pharmaceutical equipment, maintenance management, facility engineering, and project execution.
- Hands-on experience in CAPEX planning, plant expansion, equipment qualification, and engineering compliance within GMP-regulated environments.
