Kibo Invest is a Singapore-based private investment office (www.kiboinvest.com) with Berge Bulk as its sister company. The investment office is expanding its senior leadership team to actively manage its existing portfolio while strategically driving new investment allocations which have emphasized multi-asset class deployment in climate tech and energy transition opportunities.

Role Overview

The Head of Investments will hold dual responsibility for portfolio optimization and strategic growth. The successful candidate will oversee the asset management of the current investment portfolio to safeguard and enhance value, while simultaneously leading the end-to-end execution of new investment mandates, specifically establishing and scaling the firm's climate investment strategy. Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Management

  • Monitor and analyze the performance of the existing multi-asset investment portfolio.
  • Implement risk management frameworks and rebalancing strategies to optimize risk-adjusted returns.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for existing portfolio companies and external fund managers.

New Deal Origin & Execution

  • Lead the origination, structuring, negotiation, and execution of new investment opportunities.
  • Conduct rigorous financial modeling, valuation analysis, and commercial due diligence.
  • Present institutional-grade investment memoranda to the Investment Committee.

Climate Strategy Development

  • Work with the existing team to refine and execute an investment framework targeting climate tech, sustainability, energy transition assets, and emerging green technologies.

Stakeholder & Ecosystem Building

  • Build and deepen functional relationships with internal stakeholders (including other operating companies associated with Kibo’s founder)
  • Represent Kibo Invest within relevant venture capital, private equity, and climate-finance ecosystems.
  • Cultivate proprietary deal flow networks across sponsors, founders, and institutional co-investors.

Qualifications & Experience

Experience & Track Record

  • 10+ years of institutional investment experience as a principal investor setting e.g., private equity, venture capital, sovereign wealth fund, single family office, etc.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing various investments from entry to exit/realization.
  • Existing deployment track record or deep network within the private equity, climate tech, renewable energy, or sustainability sectors.
  • Direct experience operating within the Southeast Asian/APAC investment landscape.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced financial modeling, valuation methodology, and complex transaction structuring capability.
  • Robust understanding of legal documentation (SPAs, SHAs, investment term sheets).
  • Familiarity with listed company governance requirements of board members.

Education & Credentials

  • Foundational degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • CFA charter holder, CA, or an MBA from a top-tier global business school.

Leadership & Soft Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multi-stakeholder relationships at the C-suite and Board level.
  • Strong objective analytical skills with low reliance on speculative assumptions.
  • Disciplined entrepreneurial mindset capable of building a new mandate from structural inception to execution.
