About the Role
BEC Arabia is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Health & Safety Specialist to join our project team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with HSE standards, promoting a strong safety culture, and supporting safe execution across all site activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and regulations on-site
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Identify hazards and ensure corrective/preventive actions are implemented
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and international safety standards
- Lead toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness sessions
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare detailed reports
- Monitor subcontractors’ compliance with HSE requirements
- Maintain accurate HSE documentation, reports, and records
- Support emergency response planning and drills
- Promote a positive safety culture across all project teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field
- 4–8 years of experience in HSE within construction projects
- Strong knowledge of Saudi HSE regulations and international standards
- Experience working on large-scale construction projects
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH IGC (mandatory)
- OSHA or IOSH certifications are a plus
- Strong communication and reporting skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage site safety proactively
