Our client is a tier 1 automotive supplier and manufacturer who is looking to add an Industrial Engineering Manager. The IE Manager will be tasked with managing industrial engineering functions to determine the most efficient methods of production, implement and maintain a standards incentive program, enhance and maintain the cost system, and complete CER and new job start-up processes.
Industrial Engineering Manager must have 3+ years of related experience
Industrial Engineering Manager Responsibilities:
- Exhibit superior safety practices every day evidenced by outstanding housekeeping at all times
- Extend treatment to all other associates of the Company as individuals with the courtesy and dignity shown to customers
- Exceed customer quality and service expectations through attention to detail
- Exercise maximum care to protect the environment by fostering and supporting responsible operating procedures
- Works closely with team to ensure standard cost is accurate and updated annually
- Manage the methods and standards engineering, manufacturing engineering, and costing
- Oversee the development, implementation and maintenance of the standards and incentive program and ensure the timely auditing and documentation of standards in accordance with Company standards engineering policy
- Oversee methods studies on current and new operations to determine and prescribe the most efficient and economical methods of performance, including techniques, production area layout, and labor estimating
- Facilitate the Methods Study Teams (MST) activities for the location
- Monitor the effectiveness of the incentive program and ensure incentive earnings remain reasonable and fair
- Manage cost-reduction programs
- Manage programs which include a variety of topics such as facilities studies, cost analysis, feasibility studies, labor and equipment utilization studies, cost analysis on capital expenditures, etc
- Provide costs for new or revised work and ensure associated master cost sheets are accurately maintained
- Ensure process documentation is current and accurately maintained
- Ensure a competent staff is maintained to meet both short and long-term objectives
- Provide for staff development and growth
- Prepare the department budget and administer and control the approved budget during the business year
Industrial Engineering Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or relevant work experience
- 3-7 years of experience
- Must be willing and able to wear all required PPE. (Safety goggles, hearing protections, steel-toe non-slip safety shoes, and gloves as needed)
