Overview
You will be involved in day‑to‑day current state studies such as PMTS time studies, multi‑moment studies, and spaghetti charts. You will contribute to the success of the team through predetermined tasks based on ongoing production performances – efficiency, productivity, and any flow interrupters. You will be working with a wide range of departments and stakeholders to define new improvement projects.
Your Tasks
Conduct time studies to analyze work patterns, develop optimized solutions, and document workflows as algorithms to accurately estimate labor hours for various processes.
Gather data for method studies, including process layouts, step‑by‑step operations, material lists, and required manufacturing documentation.
Perform motion studies and visually represent findings using spaghetti diagrams to identify inefficiencies.
Execute multi‑moment studies on production operations to assess current performance in terms of efficiency and productivity, particularly focusing on bottleneck areas.
Provide support for key operational excellence initiatives and manufacturing processes through detailed documentation and analysis.
Assist in continuous improvement projects by maintaining thorough documentation and contributing to risk assessments.
Requirements
Demonstrated passion and enthusiasm for Industrial Engineering within a manufacturing environment.
Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as an Industrial Engineer, with hands‑on involvement in time and motion studies and other current state assessments.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in industrial engineering (completed or in progress) is required.
Proficient in PMTS (Predetermined Motion Time System) analysis and well‑versed in maintaining strong documentation standards.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is considered an asset.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor is a plus.
