Position: Internship for Production Assistant at Hitachi Energy
Join Hitachi Energy Stoney Creek as a proactive Production Assistant Intern for a 12 to 16-month term. Gain valuable experience with factory operations and support the team on various projects.
This internship is designed for candidates who have completed their third year in a related engineering field or will graduate by 2026. You will work directly with Shift Supervisors and Technical Advisors, learning about the large power transformer repair process and streamlining factory operations.
Your role will involve collaborating closely with team members to enhance efficiency and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Shift Supervisors on daily tasks
• Support Technical Advisors with hardware orders
• Assist the production planner as necessary
• Identify improvement opportunities in factory processes
• Help create purchase requisitions in SAP
Requirements:
• Third-year engineering coursework completed or degree by 2026
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Office Suite
• Strong multi-tasking capabilities
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Understanding of lean management principles
