Job Summary
On behalf of Huawei, a world-renowned IT and Communications Company, We are seeking an experienced IT Resident Engineer to be deployed at a customer site in Abu Dhabi, supporting storage systems and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. The role involves system maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous engagement with the customer to support ongoing project delivery and service quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as an on-site resident engineer, providing daily maintenance and support for storage systems
- Perform incident handling, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for storage and backup environments
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability
- Support backup and recovery operations using enterprise tools
- Maintain strong customer relationships and act as a trusted technical point of contact
- Provide regular updates, reports, and recommendations to improve system performance
- Support ongoing project delivery and service improvement initiatives
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Communication Engineering, or related field
Required & Preferred Skills
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in IT project delivery, specifically in the storage domain
- Hands-on experience with enterprise storage solutions from vendors such as
- Huawei, Dell Technologies, or Hewlett Packard Enterprise
- Experience with backup and recovery software, such as
- Veeam or Commvault
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in storage and backup environments
- Ability to work independently in a customer-facing, on-site role
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Huawei HCIE certification is preferred
