Role Description The Lenovo Storage Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Dhaka, responsible for implementing, managing, and supporting Lenovo storage systems within customer environments. This position involves configuring storage arrays, monitoring performance, managing capacity, and ensuring data availability and integrity. The role includes diagnosing and resolving storage-related incidents, coordinating hardware replacements, and performing firmware and software updates in line with best practices and customer SLAs. The Lenovo Storage Engineer will collaborate with internal teams and customer stakeholders to design and optimize storage solutions, document configurations and procedures, and provide technical guidance on storage-related projects. The role also requires participation in scheduled maintenance windows and adherence to change management processes to ensure stable and reliable storage operations.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in storage management, including Lenovo storage platforms, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with storage solutions and general storage technologies such as SAN, NAS, and RAID.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving storage incidents, faults, and performance issues.
- Knowledge of data replication concepts and practices for high availability and disaster recovery.
- Relevant experience in data center infrastructure or enterprise IT operations, preferably in multi-vendor environments.
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals and server hardware as they relate to storage connectivity and performance.
- Ability to work on-site in Dhaka, manage tasks independently, and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Lenovo or other vendor storage certifications are an advantage, along with experience in TPM or post-warranty support services.
