Job Description: About Us: Azierta LLC is a US-based engineering and infrastructure technical consultancy firm. As a certified DBE/SBE firm, we partner with major Prime Contractors and public agencies on large-scale infrastructure, transportation, and civil works projects across the United States.

Position Overview: We are expanding our network of independent Professional Engineers (P.E.) to support our upcoming pipeline of infrastructure initiatives in Louisiana. We are seeking a highly autonomous, senior-level Geotechnical Professional Engineer (P.E.) to collaborate with us as an independent subcontractor (1099 consultant) on a 100% remote, project-based framework.

This is a flexible, on-demand role. Compensation operates under a competitive pay-per-hour or project-milestone basis (no fixed annual salary).

Key Responsibilities: * QA/QC & Technical Review: Conduct rigorous peer reviews and quality control audits on geotechnical calculations, foundation designs, soil mechanics reports, slope stability analyses, and site investigations produced by our design team.

  • Review, Sign, and Seal: Serve as the Geotechnical Engineer of Record on a project basis by reviewing, signing, and sealing final geotechnical packages, permit documents, and construction sheets in strict compliance with Louisiana DOTD (Department of Transportation and Development) and local state regulations.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide expert engineering oversight and ensure all deliverables meet US design standards and project specifications.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills: * Licensure (Mandatory): Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) License in good standing issued by the State of Louisiana (Civil / Geotechnical branch). (Multi-state licensure in neighboring states is a plus).

  • Experience Benchmark: Minimum of 5–10+ years of active experience in US geotechnical infrastructure, deep foundations, slope stability, earth retention systems, and soil mechanics.
  • Software Proficiencies: Practical familiarity with industry-standard geotechnical software (e.g., Plaxis, GeoStudio, gINT, or similar).
  • Standards: Strong understanding of Louisiana DOTD specifications, AASHTO guidelines, and US building codes.
  • Contract Status: Independent Subcontractor (1099). Fully remote work.
