Omya is a leading global producer of industrial minerals – mainly fillers and pigments derived from calcium carbonate and dolomite – and a worldwide distributor of specialty chemicals. We seek for a Maintenance Engineer for our Kemalpaşa Plant (İzmir) and the ideal candidate is expected to have the following qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree (Mechanical engineering)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a production-based organizations
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills
- SAP knowledge
- Good team member
- Analytical thinking, result and quality-oriented approach
- Fluency in English both written & verbal
Basic responsibilities:
- Responsibility of all maintenance activities including planning, monitoring and controlling
- Planning weekly/ monthly and annual maintenance programs according to group plan and conducting planned maintenance activities
- Spare part management and reporting
- Preparing the purchase plan of needed spares
- Supporting the budget plan of plant
- Taking actions and making root cause analysis for the breakdowns and repeating defects
- Maintaining lean manufacturing activities like 5S
- Collaborating work with production team for managing preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activities
- An active player in plant projects
Environmental Health & Safety Responsibilities
- Responsibility for documentation concerning maintenance
- Supporting to plant maintenance to be in line given specification
- Waste inventory and arrangement of disposal
- Support to Health and Safety Management System in the plan
- Planning of training for manpower, implementation and documentation
