Our client, a privately owned leader in Food Processing, has presented a career-enhancing opening for Full-Time Day-Shift Maintenance Fitter at their Broadmeadows, VIC further processing facility. Due to industry demand, the business is adding to their 1500+ employees during this growth phase.
Hourly Rate: $47.70 + super
Shift: 5am – 1pm, Monday to Friday/Tuesday to Saturday
Overtime: Available for those interested – x2.0 on Sundays
Workday: 8-hour shifts, 38-hour week
Some weekend work required and overtime available for industry award.
Key Responsibilities
- Organise and maintain the day-to-day running of the sites production lines, associated plant/equipment and fixed property
- Responsible for keeping the equipment performing to its required production rate, exceeding these rates where possible
- Responsible for maintaining a preventative maintenance program in relation to the production line to ensure there are minimal unplanned stoppages and breakdowns
Ideal Candidate
- Holds a current Mechanical Trade certification – Fitter or Machinist and have a good understanding fault finding and repair on production machinery
- ???????Previous experience in FMCG environment with the understanding of good manufacturing processes and hygiene requirements
- Welding experience
- Experience with high speed packing machines, conveyors, sensors, packers, etc.
- Attitude of continuous learning and communicates positive energy to the team
