Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Manufacturing Engineer role based in Ilorin, Kwara State. The Manufacturing Engineer will design, optimize, and oversee manufacturing processes for 3 and 4 wheel tractors and related agricultural equipment, ensuring efficiency, safety, and product quality.
Daily responsibilities include:
Supply-chain management – engaging with suppliers and vendors for raw materials, and parts.
Process design and documentation – developing and updating manufacturing processes and documentation
Factory supervision – supporting fabrication, assembly and quality control teams on the shop floor, troubleshooting equipment and process issues.
Product design – Collaborating with design engineers to transition new products onto the production line.
The role will involve coordinating with suppliers, monitoring production metrics, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong knowledge of Manufacturing, Assembly, or Fabrication Processes.
- Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Mechanical Engineering for equipment design, analysis, and problem-solving.
- Candidates should possess practical Machining skills and familiarity with shop-floor tools and equipment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in a production, service or factory environment, preferably in heavy equipment or machinery.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, 3D models, and engineering specifications.
- Proficiency with CAD software and basic knowledge of quality control tools and methodologies.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
