Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join our manufacturing engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving mechanical components, products, and manufacturing processes. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet quality, cost, and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and products using CAD software.

• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, BOMs, and design documentation.

• Modify existing product designs based on customer requirements and manufacturing feedback.

• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Production teams to ensure design feasibility.

• Perform engineering calculations, tolerance stack-up analysis, and material selection.

• Support prototype development, testing, and validation activities.

• Apply GD&T principles in engineering drawings.

• Participate in design reviews and implement design improvements.

• Troubleshoot production issues and recommend engineering solutions.

• Ensure compliance with company standards, industry regulations, and safety requirements.

• Support continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

• 5+ years of experience in Design Engineering within a manufacturing environment.

• Strong experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or Inventor.

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, fabrication, welding, injection molding, or assembly.

• Experience creating engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM).

• Understanding of GD&T and engineering standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with FEA analysis.

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.

• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.

• Familiarity with ERP systems.

• Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI).

SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, Autodesk Inventor, GD&T, DFM/DFA, BOM Management, FEA, Root Cause Analysis, Manufacturing Process Improvement, Microsoft Office
