Job Duties:
NPI Transfer & Process Development
- Lead manufacturing readiness for new product introductions.
- Collaborate with design and R&D teams to ensure smooth transfer into production.
- Develop and validate robust manufacturing processes for laser drilling applications.
- Ensure work instructions are in placed and accurate for production use.
Process Optimization & Workflow Improvement
- Design and implement jigs, fixtures, and tooling to improve efficiency and repeatability.
- Analyze workflows and implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce cycle time and cost.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production lines.
Production Support
- Provide technical guidance to production technicians to resolve issues quickly.
- Troubleshoot and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Ensure production schedules and customer ship dates are consistently met.
Part Qualification & Lifecycle Management
- Support qualification of OEM End-of-Life (EOL) parts and ensure compliance with customer requirements.
- Develop qualification plans, execute testing, and document results.
- Partner with supply chain and quality teams to manage part transitions effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably with laser machining or precision processes.
- Strong knowledge of jig/fixture design, process validation, and lean manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience supporting production teams and resolving technical issues.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with laser drilling or micro-machining applications.
- Familiarity with NPI transfer processes in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of OEM part qualification and lifecycle management.
- Proficiency in CAD software and statistical process control (SPC).
