Role Description This full-time, on-site Manufacturing Engineer role is based in Taipei City. The Manufacturing Engineer will support and optimize semiconductor manufacturing processes, ensuring stable production, high yield, and consistent product quality. Responsibilities include analyzing process performance data, identifying root causes of production issues, and implementing corrective and preventive actions. The role will collaborate with cross-functional teams such as design, quality, test, and operations to introduce new products, qualify new equipment, and improve throughput. Day-to-day tasks also include documenting procedures, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, maintaining safety and compliance standards, and contributing to cost reduction and efficiency projects on the production floor.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Manufacturing Engineering and Manufacturing Processes, with experience in high-volume or semiconductor manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering principles applied to equipment layout, workflow optimization, and production line efficiency.
- Hands-on experience with Machining or similar fabrication processes, including basic understanding of tooling, tolerances, and quality requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., SPC, DOE, root cause analysis), and familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma concepts.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and process documentation, and to write clear, structured work instructions.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional, multicultural teams in an on-site environment.
- Experience in semiconductor or electronics manufacturing and proficiency with CAD or manufacturing-related software are beneficial.
