Role Description The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Saltillo, COA. This role oversees daily manufacturing engineering activities, including defining and optimizing production processes, setting standards, and resolving technical issues on the shop floor. The manager leads and mentors a team of engineers and technicians, coordinating workloads, providing guidance, and ensuring alignment with safety, quality, and cost objectives. Responsibilities include driving continuous improvement initiatives, implementing lean manufacturing tools, and supporting new product introductions and process transfers into production. The role collaborates closely with operations, maintenance, quality, and supply chain to improve throughput, reduce waste, and maintain stable, capable manufacturing processes.
Qualifications

  • Strong background in Manufacturing Engineering, including process development, line balancing, and production support.
  • Experience in Process Engineering, with skills in process mapping, optimization, and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proven Engineering Management capabilities, including team leadership, performance development, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Knowledge of Industrial Engineering principles such as work measurement, layout design, and productivity improvement.
  • Hands-on experience with Manufacturing Operations, including daily production support, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies; relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Ability to use CAD and common manufacturing engineering tools, along with data analysis skills for decision-making.
  • Strong communication skills in a multicultural environment and ability to work effectively with both hourly and salaried team members.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, quality standards, and compliance with applicable regulations.
