Role Description
This is a part-time hybrid role based in Singapore for a Marine Engineer / Port Operations Specialist / Freight Forwarding Coordinator with the Ministry of Family – UAE. Responsibilities include overseeing marine engineering tasks, conducting routine maintenance and repairs on maritime systems, managing port operations, and coordinating freight forwarding logistics. The role requires close collaboration with stakeholders on-site while allowing flexibility for remote work assignments. Candidates are expected to optimize operations, ensure compliance with applicable maritime regulations, and support efficient supply chain processes.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Marine Engineering and experience in Maintenance & Repair of maritime systems
- Knowledge of Maritime operations and the Marine Industry along with practical experience in operational execution
- Experience in Navy-related activities and familiarity with port operations and supply chain coordination
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address technical challenges in marine and freight domains
- Excellent organizational and communication skills to ensure smooth coordination with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Understanding of maritime regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Maritime Studies, or a related field
- Experience in the international shipping or logistics sector is considered an advantage
