This co-op position involves hands-on laboratory work and field testing, collaborating with engineers and coordinators. You will conduct concrete and soil tests, manage asphalt samples, and adapt to various responsibilities based on your experience level. Bring your skills to support projects mainly around the Lower Mainland area, ensuring quality control and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct laboratory tests on concrete and soil samples
• Execute on-site concrete testing including slump and air content tests
• Collect soil and asphalt samples from project locations
• Perform density testing using nuclear densometer
• Interact with clients and contractors during testing processes
Requirements:
• Enrolled in Civil Engineering Technology program or relevant degree
• Experience in concrete, asphalt, and soil testing is an asset
• Available for a minimum 8-month co-op term
• Valid Canadian driver’s license required
• Effective communication and project management skills
