Due to the growth of international markets, we are looking for a Mechanical and Plant Engineering Designer (m/f/d) for our headquarters in Hirschau.
Your Responsibilities
- Design and technical specification of machines and components for our standard equipment
- Preparation of installation drawings, plant layouts, and detailed designs
- Creation and maintenance of bills of materials and documentation
- Calculation and design of machine elements and assemblies
- Coordination of documentation for standard equipment
- Support in the preparation of risk assessments in accordance with the machinery directive
- Technical coordination with internal departments and suppliers
- Technical evaluation and selection of purchased parts and supplier quotes
- Supporting projects from design through manufacturing and commissioning
Requirements
- A completed degree (Technician, Bachelor, Master, Engineer, or equivalent) in the mechanical or plant engineering field
- Experience in the design and, ideally, the sizing of machines or equipment
- Knowledge of calculating and dimensioning of machine components
- Strong technical understanding of the functional relationships within complex machines
- Structured, independent, and responsible work ethic
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency with CAD software, ideally Inventor and AutoCAD
- Proficiency with MS Office programs
- Good written and spoken English skills
- Class B driver’s license preferred
