Our client is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for an excellent position based near Vienna, GA or surrounding area. Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate closely with designers and engineers on R&D projects
- Produce precise 2D and 3D designs and models
- Identify and resolve design or drawing issues
- Compile complete design packages—including models, drawings, BOM's, etc.
- Generate thorough, accurate reports and documentation
- Serve as a technical point of contact with clients on assigned projects
- Clearly communicate design intent, system operations, and job requirements to team members and stakeholders
- Detect mechanical design problems early and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Participate in safety meetings, promote safety awareness, and contribute to Kaizen initiatives
- Perform all work in full compliance with company policies, procedures, and engineering standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or other Engineering degree is required.
- 1-5 years of professional experience in an engineering role.
- Proven hands-on experience with 3D design and drafting is essential.
- Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks
- Strong analytical thinking, mechanical insight, and troubleshooting skills are critical.
- Solid organizational abilities combined with a self-starting, proactive approach are necessary.
- Excellent communication skills across all areas of the company
- Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team
