Celtic Engineering, Inc., a leader in mechanical, machine-design, specialty, and structural engineering for the entertainment and hospitality industries, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for our Windermere, Florida office.
The successful candidate will be a self-motivated engineer who is eager to learn and contribute to the analysis and design of mechanical components, equipment, and mechanisms involving both simple and complex geometries, including animated and dynamic systems.

Our mechanical engineering team performs a wide range of analyses, including rigid body dynamics, multibody dynamics, finite element analysis, vibration and fatigue analysis, computational fluid dynamics, and conjugate heat transfer.
Your Contributions to the Team
- Support the analysis and design of mechanical components, mechanisms, and systems.
- Calculate loads, motion, kinetics, kinematics, stresses, and deformations, and develop free-body diagrams.
- Contribute to the development and evaluation of design concepts and actuation systems.
- Work with an experienced mentor to support professional development and career advancement.
- Develop practical and creative engineering solutions that meet client needs and design intent.
- Demonstrate flexibility and sound engineering judgment while maintaining the engineer’s responsibility to public safety.
- Support the creation of 3D models and fabrication and assembly drawing packages using SolidWorks.
- Assist with site observation reports, condition assessments, and construction administration.
- Learn to prepare and conduct industry-standard hazard analyses and failure modes and effects analyses.
- Participate in equipment installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Assist the Project Manager and Engineer of Record with quality assurance and quality control reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required.
- Graduate degree with an emphasis in mechanical engineering preferred, but not required.
- Familiarity with 3D modeling and engineering drawings; SolidWorks experience preferred.
- Familiarity with high-fidelity finite element analysis; Ansys experience preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Engineer Intern designation preferred.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and the fabrication and assembly of machinery and mechanisms.
