Hubbell Heaters is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Stratford, CT. This role offers the opportunity to work on the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of mechanical and electromechanical products used in industrial heating applications worldwide.
We are looking for an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, collaborating across departments, and seeing projects through from concept to production.
Location Requirement
This position is based onsite in Stratford, CT. Candidates should reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Stratford or be willing to relocate at their own expense. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

What You'll Do
• Design, develop, test, and improve mechanical and electromechanical products and systems
• Create engineering drawings, 3D models, and fabrication packages using SolidWorks
• Design pressure vessels in accordance with ASME Code and MIL Standards
• Develop electrical schematics and support PLC-based control systems
• Analyze customer specifications and application requirements to develop effective engineering solutions
• Coordinate fabrication, installation, testing, and troubleshooting activities
• Investigate equipment failures and recommend design improvements
• Provide technical support to customers, field technicians, and internal teams
• Collaborate with production, sales, technical support, and job coordination teams to ensure successful project execution
• Assist with obtaining and maintaining third-party product approvals
What We're Looking For
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 2 years of related engineering experience
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial equipment, pressure vessel design, controls, or thermal systems is a plus
• PLC programming and controls experience is highly desirable

Travel

Salary Range
$75,000 – $120,000 annually
