Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Engineer role based in Bangkok. The Mechanical Engineer will design and develop mechanical systems and components for water, wastewater, waste-to-energy, and air pollution treatment projects, ensuring compliance with technical standards and environmental regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing calculations, preparing detailed mechanical and piping layouts, creating and reviewing CAD models and drawings, and coordinating with cross-functional teams in engineering, procurement, and construction. The role involves supporting project execution through technical documentation, equipment specifications, and participation in design reviews, as well as assisting with commissioning, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of installed systems. The Mechanical Engineer will also contribute to research and development initiatives to improve system efficiency, reliability, and sustainability, while providing technical support to project managers and site teams.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong core skills in Mechanical Engineering and Machine Design to develop reliable and efficient mechanical systems.
- Candidates should possess skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools to create, modify, and review detailed mechanical models and engineering drawings.
- Candidates should possess Project Management skills to plan tasks, coordinate stakeholders, track progress, and support on-time, on-budget project delivery.
- Candidates should possess Research and Development (R&D) skills to analyze technical challenges, evaluate new technologies, and propose innovative engineering solutions.
- Relevant skills such as knowledge of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and materials selection, as well as familiarity with environmental and industrial standards, are beneficial.
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is preferred, along with experience in industrial, environmental, or infrastructure projects.
- Ability to work collaboratively on-site in Bangkok, communicate clearly with multidisciplinary teams, and adapt to dynamic project needs is important.
- Proficiency in English and Thai, and prior experience with water treatment, waste-to-energy, or air pollution control systems
