This role offers the opportunity to design and develop innovative mechanical products from concept through prototype, with a strong focus on camera- and sensor-based systems. Responsibilitie
- sDesign and develop innovative mechanical products from initial concept through prototype, with a focus on camera-focused and sensor-focused solutions
- .Create detailed 3D models and drawings using SolidWorks to support product development and documentation
- .Apply thermal management principles and perform thermal simulations to ensure reliable operation of camera and sensor systems
- .Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical and software engineers, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical, electrical, and software components
- .Develop, document, and manage mechanical design requirements to ensure products meet or exceed performance, reliability, and quality standards
- .Conduct design validation activities, including testing, tolerance stack-ups, and design reviews, to confirm design intent and performance
- .Perform root cause analysis and structured problem-solving to resolve design and product issues
- .Incorporate design for manufacturability and assembly principles into all designs to support efficient and cost-effective production
- .Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, and test reports
- .Work independently with minimal supervision to drive projects forward, manage priorities, and meet project deadlines
.Essential Skill
- s5+ years of experience in mechanical product design, preferably with a focus on camera and sensor-based systems
- .Strong mechanical engineering and mechanical design background with proven product design experience, including design for manufacturing
- .Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling, assemblies, and detailed mechanical drawings
- .Experience with thermal simulations and thermal management in product design
- .Hands-on experience with tolerance stack-ups and their application to mechanical assemblies
- .Experience with testing, structured problem-solving, and root cause analysis
- .Strong understanding of production design principles, including design for manufacturability and assembly
- .Ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, and deliver high-quality designs with minimal supervision
.Additional Skills & Qualification
- sProficiency with Ansys or similar simulation tools, particularly for thermal analysis
- .Familiarity with optics design and machine vision applications
- .Experience integrating mechanical, electrical, and software components in complex products
- .background in developing camera-focused or sensor-focused products is highly desirable
