We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing team! If you have a strong background in HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems design and enjoy working on Design-Build and Design-Assist projects, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial projects.
- Perform heating/cooling load calculations, equipment selection, and system analysis.
- Prepare code-compliant construction and permit documents.
- Review blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Support value engineering and design modifications.
- Collaborate with estimating, project management, and sales teams.
- Attend project meetings, job site visits, pre-bid meetings, and project turnovers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and design professionals.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of mechanical design experience.
- 2+ years of experience in plumbing, hydronics, and mechanical systems.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and apply engineering codes and standards.
