Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Engineer role based in Sāhīwāl. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and improving mechanical components and systems for industrial clients, from concept to implementation. Day-to-day tasks include developing and reviewing machine designs, creating and updating CAD models and drawings, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet performance, safety, and cost requirements. The role involves visiting client facilities when needed, supporting installation and commissioning activities, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and recommending corrective actions. The Mechanical Engineer will also participate in project planning, documentation, and reporting, while contributing to research and development efforts to enhance existing products and develop new solutions.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with the ability to apply core principles to industrial machinery and processes.
- Proficiency in Machine Design, including component selection, material considerations, and stress/strain analysis.
- Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 2D drawings and 3D modeling, and preparation of detailed technical documentation.
- Experience or aptitude in Project Management, including planning, scheduling, and coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Background or interest in Research and Development (R&D), including testing, performance evaluation, and continuous improvement of mechanical systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Ability to work on-site in Sāhīwāl, with occasional travel to client facilities as required.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with attention to detail and safety standards.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams.
- Prior experience in heavy industry, process plants, or rotating equipment is an advantage but not mandatory.
