Selected Intern’s Day-to-day Responsibilities Include
- Assist in melting and casting activities involving ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys.
- Supervise and document melting, alloying, casting, heat-treatment, and related process trials.
- Support the design and planning of experiments, including preparation of experimental procedures, process parameters, material requirements, and testing plans.
- Monitor experiments and production trials to ensure that approved procedures, safety requirements, and process parameters are followed.
- Record observations, process data, test results, deviations, and technical findings accurately.
- Prepare experimental reports, technical reports, trial summaries, presentations, and project documentation.
- Coordinate material testing and characterization activities, including mechanical, chemical, metallographic, dimensional, and other relevant examinations.
- Assist in the preparation and improvement of process SOPs, work instructions, inspection plans, testing protocols, and quality-control documents.
- Participate in defect analysis, root-cause analysis, failure investigation, and troubleshooting of melting, casting, heat-treatment, and material-processing problems.
- Recommend process improvements and corrective actions based on experimental results, testing data, and technical observations.
- Coordinate with R&D, production, design, procurement, quality, laboratory, and vendor teams for timely completion of assigned projects.
- Maintain proper records of raw materials, samples, experiments, test results, photographs, and project progress.
- Follow workplace safety, laboratory safety, quality, confidentiality, and documentation requirements.
