Role Description:

This is a full-time, on-site Project Manager role based in Oviedo, FL, focused on mechanical engineering projects related to CURIS decontamination systems. The Project Manager will lead end-to-end project planning, execution, and delivery, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure product development, installation, and service projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing schedules, resources, and logistics; tracking project milestones; and communicating status and risks to stakeholders. The role will oversee mechanical design reviews, inspections, and quality checks, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal specifications. The Project Manager will also collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing, and logistics teams to expedite materials, optimize workflows, and support continuous improvement in contamination control solutions. Candidates are expected to have a construction background and familiarity with electrical work, building regulations, structural steelwork, and reading blueprints/schematics, as well as mechanical design skills, experience executing mechanical installations, and proficiency interpreting 3D CAD and technical mechanical documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates should possess strong Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Candidates should possess Expeditor and Expediting skills to manage material flow, vendor coordination, and timely delivery of components.
  • Candidates should possess Inspection skills to oversee mechanical systems, quality checks, and compliance with technical and regulatory requirements.
  • Candidates should possess Logistics Management skills to coordinate shipping, inventory, and on-site installation activities.
  • Experience managing engineering or manufacturing projects, preferably in contamination control, life sciences, healthcare, or related industries.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and CAD or engineering documentation review.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and safety standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on-site with cross-functional teams and external partners.

Must be familiar with:

  • Understand the function of HVAC installation in new builds
  • Reading MEP drawings and interpreting dimensional data
  • Mechanical design principles, including fit, function, tolerances, and system integration
  • Executing mechanical installations and verifying alignment with engineered drawings and CAD models
  • Interpreting mechanical drawings, 3D CAD models, and equipment schematics
  • Project management principles including lean manufacturing
  • Construction or trades skills using power tools, lifts, and hand tools in a professional manner pertaining to HVAC, electrical, and structural
  • Industry building codes
  • Maintain knowledge of project management software and evaluate effectiveness:
  • Microsoft Excel + Project
  • Toggl Track
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar)

Certifications a Plus:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Lean Six Sigma
  • Agile

Competitive Compensation: The anticipated salary range for this position is $80,000–$120,000 annually, depending on relevant experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role. Medical, dental, PTO, Paid Holidays, 401K.
