Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the overall metallurgical operations, including crushing, gravity separation, magnetic separation, screening, and grinding processes.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve production efficiency, maximize ferrous scrap recovery, and reduce operational waste.
- Monitor and optimize metallurgical processes to ensure consistent product quality, yield, and operational performance.
- Evaluate and implement new processing technologies, equipment upgrades, and automation to improve plant efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance on equipment capability, process limitations, and safe operating practices.
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of China-manufactured machinery and engineering systems.
- Coordinate with engineers and technical support teams in China to resolve technical issues and support equipment performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Lead and develop the operations team to achieve production and operational targets.
Job Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Metallurgy, Metallurgical Engineering, Metal Trades, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in metallurgical operations or metal processing, with leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of crushing, gravity separation, magnetic separation, screening, and grinding processes.
- Experience working with China-manufactured machinery and engineering systems.
- Ability to read and communicate using Mandarin for technical documentation and coordination with overseas equipment manufacturers is required due to operational business needs.
- Willing to work full-time, site-based in Cukai, Kemaman, Terengganu.
- Possess a valid driving licence and own reliable transportation.
