About the Role
Westwire, a wholly owned subsidiary of SASMOS HET Technologies, is setting up a greenfield manufacturing facility in Morocco as part of its global expansion strategy. We are looking for a dynamic and execution-focused NPI Engineer to support the transfer and industrialization of products and manufacturing processes from the UK and India to Morocco.
The role will play a key part in establishing manufacturing readiness, supporting production ramp-up, and ensuring smooth transition from prototype and pilot builds to serial production in the new facility.
Key Responsibilities
New Product Introduction (NPI) & Industrialization
- Support end-to-end transfer and industrialization of products and manufacturing processes from the UK and India to Morocco.
- Coordinate product launches and ensure manufacturing readiness for new programs.
- Support transition from prototype and pilot builds to serial production.
- Prepare and maintain manufacturing documentation including SOPs, process flows, work instructions, and process control documents.
- Support setup and readiness of production lines, tooling, fixtures, and equipment.
- Assist in process stabilization and ramp-up activities during initial production phases.
Greenfield Plant Setup Support
- Support manufacturing setup activities for the new Morocco facility.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure readiness of processes, materials, equipment, and manpower.
- Participate in layout planning, process implementation, and production readiness activities.
- Support establishment of manufacturing best practices and process controls.
Project Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program teams across global locations.
- Work closely with teams in the UK, India, and Morocco to ensure smooth communication and project execution.
- Track project milestones, action items, and timelines.
- Escalate risks and support mitigation planning to ensure smooth execution.
Process Readiness & Quality
- Support process validation activities including IQ/OQ/PQ.
- Assist in implementation of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and FAIR activities.
- Support problem-solving and root cause analysis during pilot builds and early production phases.
- Ensure adherence to quality, process, and customer requirements.
Candidate Profile
Experience
- 3–6 years of experience in NPI, Industrialization, Manufacturing Engineering, or related functions.
- Experience in product transfer, manufacturing setup, or production ramp-up activities preferred.
- Exposure to Aerospace, Defense, EWIS, Electronics, Cable & Harness, or complex manufacturing environments is an advantage.
- Prior experience in greenfield manufacturing setup projects will be preferred.
Skills
- Good understanding of NPI and industrialization processes.
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in multicultural and fast-paced manufacturing environments.
- Strong communication and execution skills.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline.
