Job Description
Are you passionate about bringing innovative high-tech products from development into production? As an NPI Engineer, you will play a key role in the industrialization of advanced modules and precision components. Working at the interface of R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality, you ensure that new products are introduced into production in a robust, scalable and cost-effective way.
From the first prototype to a successful production release, you will drive the transition from design to manufacturing while continuously improving processes and product manufacturability.
What will you do?
- Lead the industrialization of new products from prototype to serial production
- Translate engineering designs into efficient and repeatable manufacturing processes
- Evaluate product manufacturability, tolerances and production costs, and identify improvement opportunities
- Coordinate prototype builds, pilot runs and production ramp-up activities
- Collaborate closely with R&D, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and suppliers
- Identify and resolve technical issues before and during product introduction
- Develop work instructions, validation plans and manufacturing documentation
- Support engineering changes (ECOs/ECNs) and implement continuous process improvements
- Monitor project progress and ensure products are ready for a successful production release
Your Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related technical discipline
- Strong understanding of precision mechanics or high-tech product development
- Able to bridge the gap between engineering, manufacturing and process optimization
- Analytical, structured and proactive with excellent communication skills
- Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI), Design for Manufacturing (DfM/DfX) or CAD systems is considered an advantage
- Comfortable working in multidisciplinary project teams within a high-tech environment
