For our client, an established international manufacturing company specialising in high-precision plastic components and assemblies and located near the borders of the South Bohemian, South Moravian and Vysočina regions, we are looking for an experienced Operations Manager.
The company operates in automotive, medical and other industrial segments and covers the full production chain from injection moulding and automation to assembly and quality assurance. Its Czech plant is currently undergoing an important phase of development, including the transfer of production from another European site, expansion of medical manufacturing and further development of modern production facilities.
The Operations Manager will report directly to the Plant Manager and take responsibility for the complete management and further development of production operations.
Key responsibilities
- Manage daily production operations and the performance of shift teams
- Lead and develop managers responsible for production, engineering, maintenance and the tool shop
- Ensure achievement of quality, productivity and efficiency targets
- Support the successful transfer and ramp-up of production
- Lead improvement projects focused on Lean, automation and process standardisation
- Cooperate closely with Quality and Logistics to optimise production flows
- Plan production capacity, investments and staffing requirements
- Contribute to the development of the plant organisation and company culture
Candidate profile
- Proven management experience in serial or small-series manufacturing
- Background in automotive, medical or another demanding industrial environment
- Experience with injection moulding is a strong advantage
- Good understanding of production, quality and logistics KPIs
- Experience with transfers, launches or new production implementation
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing multi-level teams
- Analytical, systematic and results-oriented approach
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, automation and continuous improvement
- English or German suitable for regular communication in an international environment
