Role Description
This is a full-time, for a Petroleum Inspector based in Plainfield, IL. The Petroleum Inspector will be responsible for Gauging temping and sampling Petroleum products and related products at barge terminals, refineries, and other specified locations. This involves performing accurate and timely field measurements, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and maintaining thorough communication and documentation of findings. The position requires attention to detail, the capacity to follow strict procedures, and effective interaction with clients and team members. The job is an oncall position.
Qualifications
- Experience with Inspection processes to ensure adherence to industry standards
- Strong Communication and interpersonal skills for reporting findings and collaborating with teams
- Proficient Analytical Skills for interpreting data and identifying discrepancies
- Familiarity with Barge operations and Refineries is highly desirable
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions on-site
- Commitment to safety standards and compliance with industry regulations
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or relevant certifications are a plus
- Prior experience in the petroleum or commodities inspection field is advantageous
