Role Description
- Act as the Consultant’s representative for all planning and scheduling activities in accordance with the Contract requirements.
- Review, analyze, and recommend approval of the Contractor’s baseline construction program and subsequent updates.
- Monitor project progress against the approved program and identify delays, slippages, and critical path impacts.
- Prepare and review detailed work programs, look-ahead schedules, recovery programs, and milestones.
- Analyze the impact of variations, changes, and instructions on the project schedule and advise the Project Manager accordingly.
- Coordinate with project disciplines (architectural, structural, MEP, QS) to ensure accurate progress reporting.
- Review Contractor’s progress reports, manpower histograms, S-curves, and resource schedules.
- Conduct regular site visits to verify actual progress and validate reported percentages.
- Assist in preparation and evaluation of Extension of Time (EOT) claims in coordination with the Project Manager and QS team.
- Identify schedule risks and propose mitigation and recovery measures.
- Maintain updated project planning records and scheduling logs.
- Participate in project coordination meetings and provide planning inputs and recommendations.
- Prepare and submit periodic planning, progress, and delay analysis reports to the Project Manager / Client.
Qualifications
- Strong planning and production planning skills to develop, update, and optimize project schedules.
- Solid analytical skills to evaluate project data, identify trends, and support decision-making.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Experience in project control, including progress monitoring, reporting, and variance analysis.
- Proficiency in project planning and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field; a focus on civil or construction engineering is an advantage.
- Experience in consultancy or construction projects, preferably within the UAE or GCC region.
- Ability to work on-site in Abu Dhabi and collaborate in a multidisciplinary, fast-paced environment.
