As a Plant Engineer, you’ll directly contribute to production optimization and operational excellence, collaborating with experienced colleagues on initiatives that shape the future of agricultural chemical manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify process improvement opportunities, develop solutions, and lead their implementation across the plant’s chemical and mechanical operations.
  • Conduct assessments to optimize energy usage, chemical processes, product yields, and plant reliability.
  • Ensure safety and environmental requirements are integrated into facility development and modifications.
  • Analyze current processes for cost reduction, improved reliability, and performance enhancements.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, quality, controls, and process personnel for effective process development and improvement.
  • Provide oversight for specific engineering projects and process upgrades from conception through start-up.
  • Support day-to-day operations by tracking and understanding department costs, yields, quality, and overall process performance.

Must-Have Skills:

  • B.S. in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Agricultural preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a food processing production environment or similar industry.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality standards within manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated leadership and advanced problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven ability to anticipate challenges and develop effective solutions.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with solvent or hexane processes and related safety protocols.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a production or plant environment.
