As a Plant Engineer, you’ll directly contribute to production optimization and operational excellence, collaborating with experienced colleagues on initiatives that shape the future of agricultural chemical manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
- Identify process improvement opportunities, develop solutions, and lead their implementation across the plant’s chemical and mechanical operations.
- Conduct assessments to optimize energy usage, chemical processes, product yields, and plant reliability.
- Ensure safety and environmental requirements are integrated into facility development and modifications.
- Analyze current processes for cost reduction, improved reliability, and performance enhancements.
- Collaborate with maintenance, quality, controls, and process personnel for effective process development and improvement.
- Provide oversight for specific engineering projects and process upgrades from conception through start-up.
- Support day-to-day operations by tracking and understanding department costs, yields, quality, and overall process performance.
Must-Have Skills:
- B.S. in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Agricultural preferred) or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a food processing production environment or similar industry.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality standards within manufacturing.
- Demonstrated leadership and advanced problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to anticipate challenges and develop effective solutions.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with solvent or hexane processes and related safety protocols.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a production or plant environment.
