Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead all aspects of manufacturing operations, including safety, quality, production, maintenance, engineering, customer service, and financial performance. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and build high-performing teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality, engineering, and shipping/receiving.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Kanban) to improve productivity, reduce waste, and lower costs.
- Manage plant KPIs, budgets, P&L, capital projects, inventory, and equipment reliability.
- Develop and mentor teams while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering, sales, planning, HR, and supply chain to achieve operational goals.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- 5–10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in a Plant Manager or Site Leader role.
- Experience managing facilities with 100+ employees.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
- Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, process improvement, and operational excellence.
- Experience managing budgets, KPIs, P&L, and capital projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in forging, heat treatment, machining, welding, or heavy manufacturing is highly preferred.
