An industry leading organization in the Heavy-Industrial manufacturing industry is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead a facility focused on safety, operational excellence, quality, and continuous improvement. This role is responsible for driving plant performance, developing high-performing teams, optimizing production, and ensuring world-class customer service while meeting financial and operational objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead all plant operations including production, maintenance, quality, engineering, safety, and shipping to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives that increase productivity, improve equipment reliability, and reduce operating costs.
- Develop and mentor supervisors and department leaders while fostering a culture of accountability, employee engagement, and operational excellence.
- Manage production planning, labor utilization, capital projects, inventory, and facility performance to meet customer demand and business goals.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, quality standards, and company policies while maintaining a safe, efficient manufacturing operation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, including plant or operations management within a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment involving metal fabrication or related processes
- Proven success leading Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, KPI management, budgeting, workforce development, and cross-functional operations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with experience managing large hourly and salaried manufacturing teams in a fast-paced industrial setting.
