Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a technically strong Mid-Level Platform Engineer to support and maintain large-scale cloud and infrastructure environments. This role involves platform monitoring, incident management, troubleshooting, automation, and continuous service improvement within a 24/7 rotational support environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain production infrastructure and platform services.
- Respond to and resolve incidents within defined SLAs.
- Troubleshoot Linux, Kubernetes, Docker, networking, cloud, and platform-related issues.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
- Execute infrastructure changes following operational best practices.
- Develop automation scripts and improve operational workflows.
- Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge bases.
- Collaborate with cloud, networking, security, and engineering teams to ensure platform reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–8 years of experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Operations, Infrastructure Operations, SRE, NOC, or Managed Services.
- Strong experience with Linux administration (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS).
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Solid understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, Load Balancers, and Firewalls.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk, Zabbix, or ELK.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or Shell scripting.
- Knowledge of CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Terraform, or Ansible is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Willingness to work in a 24/7 rotational shift environment.
