Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Presales Engineer role based in Amman. The Presales Engineer will work closely with the sales team to understand client requirements, design technical solutions, and prepare proposals and presentations that align with SmartWave.sa’s portfolio. Daily tasks include conducting technical assessments, preparing solution designs and bills of materials, delivering product demonstrations, and responding to technical inquiries from prospective customers. The role also involves collaborating with engineering and integration teams to ensure solution feasibility, supporting proof-of-concept activities, and staying current with the offerings and roadmaps of key technology partners. The Presales Engineer will contribute to tender responses, documentation, and continuous improvement of presales processes and tools.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Presales and Sales skills, including requirements gathering, solution design, proposal development, and client presentations.
- Candidates should possess solid Technical Support skills to troubleshoot issues, answer technical questions, and provide guidance to customers and internal teams.
- Candidates should possess Integration skills to design and validate end-to-end solutions across networking, telecom, and security technologies.
- Candidates should possess Security-related skills to address secure architecture design, compliance considerations, and best practices for telecom and IT environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience working with major telecom and IT vendors (e.g., Cisco, Huawei, Juniper, Microsoft, Avaya, HP) and familiarity with their product portfolios.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, manage multiple opportunities simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional certifications (such as CCNA/CCNP, HCIA/HCP, JNCIA/JNCIS, or equivalent) are a plus.
