Akkodis is seeking a Process Development Engineer for a Contract position with a client in Minnetonka, MN, supporting the Electrophysiology (EP) Division. This role supports manufacturing process development and validation activities for medical device products in a regulated environment.
Rate Range: $42.00/hour to $ 45.00/hour on W2;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Process Development Engineer job responsibilities include:
- Perform analyses to develop manufacturing process technologies based on product design and performance requirements.
- Execute process validations, including:
- Test Method Validation (TMV)
- Inspection Method Validation (IMV)
- Installation Qualification (IQ)
- Operational Qualification (OQ)
- Performance Qualification (PQ)
- Product Performance Qualification (PPQ)
- Author, review, and release Installation Qualification (IQ) reports.
- Troubleshoot and support process equipment and manufacturing technologies.
- Assist in developing manufacturing processes based on product specifications while considering process and test method capabilities.
- Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles during process development.
- Ensure compliance with applicable work environment and safety regulations, including OSHA requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, and Operations.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in process development engineering or manufacturing process engineering.
- Experience developing and validating medical device manufacturing equipment, fixtures, and technologies.
- Hands-on experience performing Installation Qualifications (IQ).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) in medical device manufacturing.
- Background in introducer or catheter manufacturing/processing.
- Experience working in regulated medical device environments.

Pay Details: $42.00 to $45.00 per hour
