Key Responsibilities:
- Design and evaluate process systems for oil, gas, and water treatment including separation, dehydration, gas compression, and injection systems.
- Perform process simulations and develop PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams) and P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams).
- Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments such as HAZOP and HAZID.
- Support operations and maintenance teams during startup, shutdown, and turnaround activities.
- Optimize plant performance to improve efficiency, throughput, and minimize environmental impact.
- Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (API, ASME, ISO), environmental regulations, and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation engineers.
- Provide technical input during FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) and detailed engineering phases.
- Participate in audits, incident investigations, and performance reviews.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and operational staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in oil & gas processing, with at least 5 years in offshore or onshore production facilities.
- Strong understanding of process engineering principles and tools (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II, Pipesim).
- Familiarity with offshore safety systems (e.g., ESD, HIPPS, F&G).
- Knowledge of international codes and standards (API, NORSOK, ISO).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work in offshore environments and comply with rotation schedules and offshore safety protocols (BOSIET, HUET, etc., if required).
