Title: Process Engineer

The process engineer is responsible for analyzing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. Supports process optimization, equipment effectiveness, and continuous improvement initiatives. Develops and validates PFMEAs at Gemba, identifies process risks, implements corrective actions, and drives risk reduction to improve process robustness and prevent customer nonconformities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Process or Manufacturing Engineering
- Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and production equipment
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Automotive Core Tools (PFMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow)
- Experience working in an IATF 16949 environment
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- English – intermediate/advanced
- ERP experience is an advantage (IFS preferred)
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
- Analyze and develop manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Design and plan the layout of equipment and workflow.
- Identify and eliminate bottlenecks and waste in production processes.
- Implement continuous improvement methodologies, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data to monitor and improve processes.
- Use statistical tools to identify trends and root causes of process issues.
- Lead and manage projects to implement new processes or improve existing ones.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and maintenance.
- Develop and implement quality control systems to ensure products meet specifications. –
- Conduct audits and inspections to maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Provide training and technical support to production personnel on new processes and equipment.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process guidelines.
- Ensure processes comply with safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures.
- Conduct research to develop new and improved manufacturing processes.
- Conduct tests and monitor process performance throughout production.
- Troubleshoot problems associated with manufacturing processes.
- Estimate production costs.
