Key Accountabilities

The ideal candidate is able to provide process engineering support, mainly on process safety to offshore operations with the aim of optimizing production without compromising integrity and design intent.

  1. Provide technical support to offshore operations team as they conduct their day-to-day duties with the aim of optimizing production and ensuring process integrity.
  2. Focal person for Eneos Xplora Malaysia on Process Safety Management (PSM), ensuring relevant KPIs across the company and shared KPI to stakeholders are established, complied and monitored.
  3. Conduct process study, troubleshooting and analysis to improve process safety at all Eneos Xplora Malaysia facilities.
  4. Keep track on action items and update databases related to PSM – Management of Change (MoC), Operating Instructions (OI) and other documents relevant to PSM are updated.
  5. Coordinate and manage issues related to PSM to ensure timely closure in safe and effective manner.
  6. Participate in HAZOP, risk assessment and relevant studies related to facilities major upgrade and/or modification related to process operations.
  7. Organize and coordinate PSM Steering Committee, furnish PSM reporting required to all stakeholders.
  8. Maintain technical integrity and performance of all facilities and safety critical equipment (SCE) within safe operating limits and compliance to approved performance standards.
  9. Monitor performance of major process facilities to ensure efficiency, reliability and optimized operations.
  10. Cultivate awareness and educate "process safety" culture among the employees of Eneos Xplora Malaysia.
  11. Management of hydrocarbon sampling analysis and reporting requirement as per UGSA.

Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge

  1. Bachelor Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering
  2. 10 years of working experience in offshore oil & gas operations
  3. Relevant certifications and participation in Process Safety management (PSM)
  4. Possess good understanding on process and troubleshooting skills in oil and gas system, such as gas compression, glycol dehydration system, produce water treatment and chemical injection system.
  5. Familiar in process simulation and other process related softwares, such as HYSYS.
  6. Experience in preparing work program and budget (WP&B).
  7. Familiar with standards and documents related to Process safety management, QRA and industry standards, including Petronas standards.
  8. Proactive in addressing technical matters that may jeopardize asset integrity.
  9. Participate actively in technical discussions and establish/improve guidelines, where deems applicable.
  10. Cultivate the process safety culture and engage colleagues and vendors to participate in PSM activities and plans.
