Position Summary:
Responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing materials, components, and equipment required for power transformer manufacturing. The role ensures cost-effective procurement, supplier quality compliance, and timely delivery to support production and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review BOMs, specifications, and project schedules to plan procurement activities.
- Source, evaluate, and manage suppliers for transformer and electrical equipment components.
- Issue RFQs, purchase orders, and negotiate pricing and contracts.
- Ensure purchased materials meet technical, quality, and IEC/IEEE standards.
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and quality compliance.
- Coordinate with engineering, production, warehouse, and logistics teams.
- Support import/export activities and procurement documentation.
- Track procurement costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare procurement reports and support budget planning.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 3–5 years of procurement experience in transformers, electrical equipment, or heavy industry.
- Knowledge of supplier management, sourcing, and contract negotiation.
- Familiarity with IEC/IEEE standards and ERP systems.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
