Job Summary:
Takamul is seeking a Procurement Engineer / Specialist with solid experience in developing procurement strategies and managing long-lead items for construction or engineering projects. The candidate should be familiar with ERP systems and have a good understanding of construction processes to support efficient project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project requirements
- Plan and manage long-lead items to ensure timely delivery
- Prepare and track procurement schedules
- Coordinate with engineering, project, and construction teams
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers
- Issue and manage purchase orders and contracts
- Ensure compliance with company policies and project specifications
- Use ERP systems for tracking, reporting, and documentation
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve procurement issues
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
- Experience in procurement for construction or engineering projects
- Strong knowledge of procurement strategy and planning
- Experience handling long-lead items
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- General understanding of construction processes
- Good communication and negotiation skills
