Our client is seeking a Product Development Engineering Manager to join a fast-growing, innovative company addressing a multi-billion-dollar challenge. Demand for data services, including streaming, AI/ML, analytics, and IoT continues to rise, increasing the need for advanced computing infrastructure. Our client is developing next generation solutions to improve performance, efficiency, and sustainability across modern computing environments, including data centers and edge systems.
This role leads cross-functional engineering efforts focused on complex electro-mechanical platforms. Responsibilities include system architecture, controls integration, and execution across hardware systems such as fluid systems, embedded controls, and mechanical assemblies.
Day to Day:
- Lead system architecture and integration of advanced cooling platforms
- Translate requirements into subsystem specifications across mechanical, electrical, firmware, and thermal teams
- Define controls strategy including sensors, pumps, flow/pressure control, safety interlocks, and diagnostics
- Drive development from concept through validation and production release
- Lead design reviews, risk assessments, and structured processes
- Manage schedules, technical risks, and vendor coordination
- Ensure reliability, safety compliance, and manufacturability
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ years of engineering experience, including 2+ years leading hardware teams
- Experience with electro-mechanical systems and integrated controls
- Strong understanding of electronics and embedded systems
- Proven success delivering hardware products to production
- Experience with advanced or refrigerant based cooling systems
- Knowledge of pumps and control systems
- Familiarity with structured product development methodologies
