Overview
Product Engineer Jobs in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada at VoiceValet
Title: Product Engineer
Company: VoiceValet
Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
The Opportunity
People were meant to talk, not type. And when customers have problems, they want answers now — not after waiting on hold during the 40 hours a week businesses are actually open.
We're building digital employees for service businesses that talk to customers, answer questions, and solve problems. AI adoption in the businesses that sell goods and services to real people, not software companies, is below 1% today. The next two to three years will determine market leaders. We're building to be one of them.
We've raised $1M+ from operators who've built at scale: Jason Warner (Poolside CEO, ex-GitHub CTO), Lorrie Norrington (ex-eBay President, HubSpot Chair), and Ryan Holmes (Hootsuite CEO), among others. We began by bootstrapping and have been generating revenue since day one.
Overview
You'll own large, ambiguous problems and ship and maintain production AI systems, starting with voice, used daily by businesses across North America. You'll work directly with the leadership team on both the product and the technical foundations as we scale, staying close to the people using our systems and translating what they need into what we build next.
We're building out our Vancouver headquarters and growing an AI-native team here. You'll be one of our earliest product-focused engineering hires in the city, with real ownership, real impact, and close connectivity to all critical aspects of the business.
What You'll Work On
- Architect and ship new capabilities for our agents based on customer feedback
- Improve conversation quality, latency, and reliability across the stack
- Expand the surface area of what our agents can do for customers and the operators behind them
- Help define what great looks like at VoiceValet: what we build, how we build it, and the bar we hold
