About Fire Design AI
Fire Design AI is building intelligent software solutions for the fire protection industry. Our platform leverages automation, AI, and modern engineering workflows to help fire protection professionals design, review, and manage fire sprinkler systems more efficiently. We are focused on transforming a traditionally manual industry through innovative technology that improves speed, accuracy, and scalability.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Product Manager to serve as the connective tissue between our customers, business stakeholders, and engineering team. This is a true “gap” role: you’ll sit in the middle of the organization, translating customer needs and leadership’s vision into a clear product roadmap — and turning that roadmap into well-defined features the engineering team can build. You’ll own the flow of information in every direction: surfacing what customers need, aligning stakeholders on priorities, and making sure engineers always know what to build and why.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and equally comfortable in a customer conversation, a leadership strategy session, and an engineering standup. You should be able to gather feedback, define requirements, prioritize features, build and own the product roadmap, and drive products from concept through launch.
Key Responsibilities
· Act as the central bridge between customers, business stakeholders, and engineering — keeping everyone aligned on what is being built and why
· Own, build, and maintain the product roadmap, balancing customer needs, business goals, and technical realities
· Gather and synthesize customer feedback, stakeholder input, and market opportunities into clear, prioritized initiatives
· Translate high-level business and customer needs into detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
· Work side-by-side with engineering and design throughout the development lifecycle to deliver features end-to-end
· Coordinate product releases and ensure successful, on-time feature delivery
· Facilitate clear communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders, removing ambiguity and unblocking the team
· Track product performance, user adoption, and key business metrics to inform roadmap decisions
· Identify opportunities to improve workflows, user experience, and overall product value
· Support long-term product strategy and ensure every initiative ties back to customer needs and company objectives
Required Qualifications
· 4+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, Business Analysis, or related roles
· Experience managing software products through multiple stages of development
· Proven ability to bridge technical and non-technical teams and keep diverse stakeholders aligned
· Experience building and owning a product roadmap
· Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
· Ability to prioritize competing initiatives and make data-driven decisions
· Experience writing product requirements, user stories, and functional specifications
· Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
· Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with SaaS products or B2B software platforms
· Familiarity with AI-powered products, automation tools, or workflow software
· Experience working with engineering and design teams in a startup or fast-paced environment
· Understanding of analytics, product metrics, and customer success measurements
· Experience with tools such as Jira, Linear, Notion, ClickUp, or similar platforms
· Exposure to construction technology, engineering software, CAD systems, or the fire protection industry
What We're Looking For
We value Product Managers who:
· Act as the glue between customers, stakeholders, and engineers
· Think strategically while remaining execution-focused
· Advocate for customers and users
· Communicate clearly across technical and business teams
· Take ownership of outcomes and drive initiatives forward
· Thrive in fast-moving environments where priorities evolve
· Enjoy building products that solve meaningful industry challenges
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role means a product organization that stays aligned — customers feel heard, stakeholders trust the roadmap, and engineers always know what to build next. You’ll deliver product improvements that create measurable value for customers, align teams around clear priorities, and help Fire Design AI continue to grow as a leading technology platform within the fire protection industry.
What We Offer
· Competitive salary ($120,000-$125,000)
· Opportunity to help shape an innovative AI-driven product
· Direct impact on company growth and product direction
· Collaborative and entrepreneurial work environment
· Career growth and leadership opportunities
· Exposure to cutting-edge AI, automation, and engineering technologies
