Product Manager Jobs in United States at Crestwood Partners

Title: Product Manager

Company: Crestwood Partners

Location: United States

Crestwood Partners is supporting a confidential North American metals manufacturer with the appointment of a Product Manager for its aluminum product line.

This is a highly visible, customer-facing role sitting between sales, operations, supply chain, suppliers and senior leadership. The successful candidate will act as a technical-commercial partner to the wider sales organization, helping customers solve aluminum product, processing and application challenges.

The role would suit someone who understands aluminum products and has exposure to engineering or value-added processes such as machining, sawing, cutting, fabrication, welding, plating, anodizing, CNC, extrusion, or other forms of metal processing.

This is not a desk-only product management role. It requires someone who is comfortable being in front of customers, visiting facilities, understanding operational capability and helping turn product knowledge into commercial growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the growth and development of the aluminum product line across North America.
  • Partner with sales teams on customer visits, technical discussions and solution-based selling.
  • Help customers understand product options, processing routes and value-added capabilities.
  • Work closely with operations to understand capacity, workflow, bottlenecks, quality issues and process improvement opportunities.
  • Support quoting, pricing, inventory strategy, contract discussions and product positioning.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, suppliers and customers.
  • Monitor product performance, sales activity, margins, inventory, service levels and operational KPIs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste and increase value-added revenue.
  • Provide training, guidance and product support to sales and operational teams.
  • Travel regularly across the U.S. and Canada to support customers, branches, suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Ideal background

  • Strong aluminum product knowledge.
  • Experience in metals distribution, service centers, aluminum manufacturing, engineered products, fabrication, extrusion, machining, aerospace metals, industrial materials, or a related environment.
  • Exposure to engineering or value-added processes such as machining, cutting, sawing, fabrication, welding, plating, anodizing, CNC, extrusion, or similar.
  • Commercial confidence, with the ability to support sales teams and present solutions to customers.
  • Strong understanding of inventory, pricing, supplier relationships, product performance and operational impact.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with sales, operations, purchasing, supply chain and leadership.
  • Able to interpret data, identify trends and turn insight into practical action.
  • Willing and able to travel across North America.
  • Degree preferred, but practical industry experience is highly valued.

Why this role is interesting

This is a rare opportunity to step into a national aluminum-focused role with real influence over product strategy, customer development, operational improvement and long-term growth.

The business is looking for someone who can become a trusted internal expert: commercially sharp enough to support sales, technical enough to understand aluminum and processing challenges, and practical enough to work closely with operations.
